OUR CREATIVE SOLUTIONS
Our downspout extensions are made of seamless PVC fittings and a special 4 inch (drainage grade) PVC pipe that expands and contracts when frost occurs. We use a custom designed Y fitting, with a removable screen, near the ground level to allow for an additional outlet in frost events, as well as serving as a cleanout for easy maintenance. Our extensions are buried and use pop-up fittings to allow for unabstructed discharge of water. Crosscut PVC is used as an outlet when grading is adequate.
Our traditional french drains are 12-18 inches wide and use a corrugated, perforated pipe, surrounded in 3/4 inch clean stone, wrapped in seperation fabric. Basins are often added to capture heavier storm waters and 4 or 6 inch PVC is used to advance collected water into more suitable areas. Fresh topsoil is added and your lawn is put back into place. Sod can be installed when lawn areas are damaged. A gravel-free french drain is installed when economy is an issue.
We use Flo- wells that can be stacked and used in multiplies to accommodate any volume of water. These wells are buried approximately 3-6 feet and are wrapped in soil separation fabric, surrounded with 3/4 inch clean stone. The wells have a vent at ground level and each has an entry and overflow discharge fitting. Plate compactors are used to keep soil and rock in place and topsoil is added above with lawn area relayed or replaced. Bunker style drywells are used in larger projects.
Areas can be regraded using bobcats and grading rakes. Regrading will redistribute soils to allow for proper pitch and run-off, with precise engineering. Sod can be installed to create an instant lawn that will remedy any erosion. Landscaping that has been disturbed, can be recreated, and plants can be replanted. Patios can be relayed; Cement repoured.
Channel drains are segmental linear grates that are installed in concrete and paver areas to collect water and redistribute it into a piping system. We can cut into any hard surface, and install a channel drain, using our diamond blade saws. The final installation will be seamless and can support most home vehicle traffic.
CATCH AND RELEASE
A catch and release drainage system is one that captures water using basins and releases it into a drywell or redirects it with PVC piping. A basin with an atrium grate is a great way to capture water in a bedded area. Larger grates are used in areas where leaves are a factor. Groups of basins can lead into one discharge pipe and allow for collection of water that is spread over a larger area.
We install window wells with leakproof covers. A basin and atrium grate can be installed at the bottom of the window well to capture water and redirect it into a piping system. We build custom window wells that are completely enclosed with zero water intrusion.
