FLOODED LANDSCAPE AREAS
STANDING WATER ON SIDEWALKS
Standing water on sidewalk areas are a frost hazard and can cause a slip and fall event. In addition, water can discolor the concrete, leaving unsightly stains. Regrading can usually correct this by allowing for proper runoff, but at times it may be necessary to remove and replace sections of concrete, to achieve the proper pitch. Sometimes a catch and release drainage system is needed to address the source of this water. Slip and fall events can be costly in this litigious society we live in. It is considered your responsibility to maintain your sidewalk areas.
Garden walls and improper landscaping installations can trap water that can damage your home. Basins with atrium grates can collect this water and redistribute it to other areas
using PVC piping and a pop-up for proper discharge. At times walls can be made to drain by adding drainage holes and poorly installed bedding can be regraded. Flooded landscape areas can cause damage to your plantings as well as compromise your foundation.
